About the program
Rescue skills are essential for every climber, as they provide the confidence and ability to handle unexpected situations in the mountains. Our introductory rescue course provides climbers with essential techniques for self-rescue and partner rescue, including belay escapes and hauling and lowering systems.
During the course, we will work out the most probable of possible emergency situations. Using the equipment that is always at hand.

Day 1:
Day 2:
- Rescue works with materials at hand.
- Switching from climbing to joumaring and back.
- Belay escape. Transferring the load from yourself to the anchor station.
- Easy pulley systems.
- Hauling the injured climber.
- Lowering the injured climber.
Day 2:
- Continue practicing the acquired skills.
- Working out situational tasks in real-world scenarios, their solutions, and error analysis.
- Personal feedback.
We provide all special climbing equipment such as ropes, slings, quickdraws, pulleys, etc.
You will need only personal climbing equipment:

- Harness
- Helmet
- Tube-type belay device
- Carabiners - 5
- Jumar
- Prusik
- Cord - 6m x 6mm (or 5 mm kevlar, aramid)
- Climbing shoes or boots with crampons if program will take place in winter
- Backpack
- Clothing appropriate to the season
If you don't have all the necessary equipment, we can rent it to you.
The program is not suitable for very beginners. In order to participate, you should have some experience in mountaineering or rock climbing. You should be familiar with basic knots, belaying techniques, abseiling, and jumaring. These topics are covered in our introductory program.
